Paddy Power Fanzones
The Challenge:
Paddy Power consider themselves no longer as just a betting brand but as an entertainment brand. With being the main sponsors across many sporting events they want to bring the element of entertainment to those who are not in attendance of the event. How is this done when the events mainly take place in the UK and we want to target those in Ireland.
The Solution:
Create spaces to show the event on large screens. This is accompanied with games and activations to keep punters engaged through out and always offering them a possibility of winning big!
My Work:
We take over a full venue in Dublin with huge screens sharing the racing for Cheltenham, and Darts for the World Darts Championship, live stage show MC’d by well known comics and a series of brand activations, games, giveaways and a huge prize pot – we added mischief and craic at every corner. The work I’ve done involves creating bespoke Paddy Power activations from conceptualising to artworking, motion graphics for game introductions, Paddy’s Pot (this is when money gets added to a massive pot based off a variable relating to the race/match and at the end of the event a punter is lucky to receive the pot amount) and ticker tapes, over all branding of the venue with vinyls and entrances and also smaller sundries such as tokens and collateral to have around the venue.
